From June to October on the second Friday of the month, Downtown West Jefferson's galleries and art spaces extend their open hours from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Hosted annually each August, this month-long event includes a gallery exhibition, symposium, and expressive arts workshop.​

Mixed Palette is a free art education series of art talks, presentations, conversations, interviews, and seminars on a wide range of art topics.

Florence Thomas Art School offers open studio time for local and visiting artists in our workshop area biweekly on the first and third Thursdays of the month.

Florence Thomas Art School hosts a Holiday Market with local art and craft vendors, music, a bake sale, and more every holiday season in December.
